MICROSOFT SECURITY / DEFENDER FOR DEVOPS

Connect security risk
to developer action.

I led experience design for Defender for DevOps within Microsoft Defender for Cloud, connecting security posture, resource management, and developer action from private preview into public preview.

PRODUCT LAUNCH / MICROSOFT IGNITE

Featured on the Ignite stage.

Satya Nadella presented Microsoft Defender for DevOps among the new Defender for Cloud innovations at Microsoft Ignite. I led the experience design within the cross-functional product team.

A visible product milestone, alongside private- and public-preview delivery.

I led the DevOps experience within a shared platform.

I owned the end-to-end experience design: personas, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and iterations across onboarding, security posture, and developer remediation. I worked with DevOps product and development, Defender for Cloud, and Azure DevOps partners.

I OWNED

The experience decisions.

Organizing the journey, exploring the dashboard hierarchy, and connecting security configuration to developer-facing feedback.

I PARTNERED ON

Research and release.

Customer interviews and usability testing with research partners; implementation reviews and bug bashes with product and development.

PLATFORM CONTEXT

Defender for Cloud.

Existing platform patterns and capabilities shaped the experience. The screens show my DevOps design work in that broader product context.

    Private-preview design

    Establish the initial DevOps experience.

  2. SEP 2022–FEB 2023

Extend the journey and refine the experience.

  3. LATER DESIGN ITERATIONS

    Broader posture and scale

Expanded dashboard, resource management, and Copilot explorations in the deck.
